Any time of the year is a good time to visit Sharm el-Sheikh, but if you don't like hot temperatures, then avoid the months of June, July or August as temperatures can be a staggering 40oC and it is very hot. If you are here during this time we would advise staying out of the mid day sun. The rest of the year is very pleasant and warm, with little rainfall or inclement weather.

The Sultan Gardens Resort Hotel's 520 superior rooms and suites are nestled amongst lush tropical gardens with wonderful views of Sharks Bay and Tiran Island. Both rooms and suites offer adjustable air-conditioning, mini fridge, safety deposit box, Satellite television and telephone. Each room/suite has an en-suite bathroom including hair dryer. Family rooms comprise of a small kitchenette, mini fridge and two separate bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other has twin beds.

On entry into Egypt, you must obtain a visitor's visa at the port of entry,the fee is £10 (subject to change). Sharm El Sheikh is considered a free zone, due to being located in the Sinai Peninsula. Travel on excursions outside the peninsula, the visitor's visa is a requirement.

St Catherine's Monastery
St Catherine's Monastery is truly a beautiful place which will be perfect for a piece of quiet reflection. Inside the monastery is the Byzantine Church which was built in 542 AD.
Climb the Sinai Mountain
You will need a good pair of mountain shoes if you decide to climb the magical mountain. It is the mountain believed to be where Moses spoke to God although there is no practical evidence of this, the mountain remains mysterious. The journey will take you around 3 hours, following the steps that Moses took to a 7,498-foot peak and a stairway of nearly 4,000 steps.
Mon Claudianus Archaeological Site
Take a look at the Granite mines and one of the best preserved Roman sites to be found in the Eastern Desert. Slabs of the granite were taken to The Pantheon, Hadrian's Villa and the Temple of Venus in Rome from Mon Claudianus.

An exciting and thrilling way to see the delights of the desert, go wadi bashing, skim across the dunes and stop at a Bedouin camp for dinner.
Take a desert camel ride
Visit some of Egypt's oases in the desert where you can take a thrilling ride on a camel, visit temples and museums and see local community life. This is an exciting adventure which will leave you feeling quite sore, but worth the discomfort as it is such fun
Taba Coloured Canyon,
Here you can see an intriguing natural wonder with the Coloured Canyon at Nuweiba, whose walls are a mixture of yellow, purple, red, blue and gold. The Canyon stands high above the desert you can take many photos of the splendid panorama of its port & the Bedouin tribes, you can also see the mountain of Saudi Arabia on the other side of Aqaba Gulf.
Explore from a glass bottomed boat
You can take an excursion in a glass bottomed boat to view the underwater marine life. The trip goes from Naama Bay over the fantastic coral reef known as the near gardenand the far garden. One of the most spectacular corals in the world is here, known as the great brain.
Luxor and Cairo
Explore the pyramids in The Valley of the Kings and Queens, where there are many tombs displaying the wealth and treasures of the ancient dynasties and one tomb well worth visiting is that of Seta It's with many drawings. There is also Rameses VI and Tutankhamen's tombs located here. Cairo is well worth a visit not least for its many modern boutiques sporting the latest designer fashions.
