Canelobre Caves
Near to Busot, just on the outskirts of Benidorm there are some stunning waterfalls and natural caves. It is possible to take a walking tour of the area and the caves, and sometimes the caves are used for concerts so the acoustics are simply amazing. The caves are a popular tourist attraction so it is best to arrive early in the day to avoid the crowds.
Algar Falls
Perhaps these falls are considered to be one of the finest natural beauty sights in the Costa Blanca. After enjoying the scene of the falls, it is possible to take a dip in the wonderfully warm waters of the pools. There is also a railway museum here for you to learn about the history of Spain's rail transportation.
The House Museum
This is an art gallery which you can find inside a fantastically historical building built in the 19thcentury. It has paintings, sculptures and plenty of exhibitions throughout the year. The museum is easy to find as it is right in the centre of Benidorm.
Benidorm's Wax Museum
The wax museum is a popular attraction and contains a grand display of famous people such as Elvis Presley, Charlie Chaplin and many others. There are also areas of royal families, politicians and fairytale characters. Although the museum is popular, we should warn you that there is an area which houses Benidorm's Museum of Erotic Art. The museum is near the Church of the Carmen in Avenida Mediterranea.
The Agricultural Museum
At the Plaza de Toros you can find the Agricultural Museum which is interesting for its displays of historical and ancient farming tools and equipment. There are horse drawn ploughs and the water mill and water wheel are particularly fascinating.
Terra Mitica theme park
Terra Mitica is the Costa Blanca's most ambitious and most entertaining and family friendly theme park, covering a huge area on the outskirts of Benidorm. This park is one of Spain's very best. You'll need plenty of time to explore the park, take in one of the 80 entertainment shows which are held for the public and to try out all of the 30 fantastic rides!
See some animals in a zoo
Terra Natura has a number of excellent daily shows, a water park, fascinating wild animals and five different themed areas where you can meet and greet animals from the wilds and learn more about survival. Take in America, Asia, Mare Nostrum, Pangea and Europe. You need to allow at least a day to enjoy all this zoo has to offer.
Watch a dolphin show at Mundomar Marine & Exotic Animal Park
See some of Europe's most beautiful dolphins and watch their interaction with their trainers and carers at Mundomar, at Sierra Helada near Benidorm. This really is a must see for lovers of these amazing creatures. Highlights include the ballet which features synchronized swimmers dancing in the water alongside the dolphins that are simply spectacular as they glide through the water. Head down to watch the underwater action from deep beneath the dolphins tank or why not get really close and take a boat ride pulled by your very own personal dolphin! A great one for the children!
