Travel Guide

For many of the thousands of tourists who flock to Costa Dorada, Reus is simply the airport they fly into. However, this historically, commercially and culturally significant city has a great deal to offer. Its architecture combines the traditional and historical - such as the 16th Century gothic church and famous bell tower with panoramic views across the region - and the modernist - such as the famous 'La Casa Navàs' house and the 'Institut Pere Mata', both designed by prominent architect Doménech Montaner. This building is just one of the many attractions worth visiting in this beautiful city. Other significant points of interest include: the stunning 'Fortuny Theatre' built in 1882; the 'Reading Centre', a culturally significant library; and several museums including the Salvador Vilaseca Museum that features a magnificent exhibition dedicated to Antoni Gaudí, who was born in the city.
