Lloret de Mar is possibly the most popular resort for holidays in Spain. It benefits from a superb sandy beach area which consists of 5 main sandy areas, all of which have been awarded the EU Blue Flag for their cleanliness and facilities. The beaches are lined with an array of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops - you won't go short of anything here.
Although it was once a working fishing village, there is little evidence of that these days. It is a typical holiday resort with less charm and charisma than some of the other smaller resorts.
Children will love it. There is lots for them to do as the resort is really geared up for families providing lots of children's entertainment and activities, there is an excellent water park at the resort where you can easily spend many sun filled hours.
There is also an aquarium with some splendid displays of marine life. The Universal Studios and the Port Aventura theme park are all within easy reach.
Lloret de Mar has a variety of shops to suit all tastes for the holiday souvenirs. There is little in the way of unordinary shops, just the typical shops for tourists.
There are many restaurants, mostly fast food outlets, bars, English pubs and tapas bars. You will not be short of choice, but if you are looking for something a little more Spanish, head for one of the Town Centre eateries.
There are a number of discos: your nightlife will be very busy and will certainly keep you entertained until the early hours. Foam nights, party nights, and theme nights - you will have them all. This resort is not for the faint hearted.
Fenals
Is within Lloret de Mar but is far less noisy, and is more suitable to those people who are looking for a quieter night life, with much less to disturb their peace.
