To the far north of the island lies Corralejo, which has a beach many miles long of enticing golden sand. It also has a few smaller beaches. Corralejo is the biggest and liveliest resort on Feurteventura. Like most of the northern villages, this too was once a fishing village and despite its recent developments, you still get that traditional feel about the place.
There are a few small shops to browse in which are centred on the main street, here you can purchase your must haveholiday item and there are a few cafes and bars. For your everyday commodities you will also find a couple of reasonable supermarkets that sell everything you might need.
There are sand dunes a few kilometers out of the resort, which are now a protected nature reserve, so nature lovers can take their binoculars along to the dunes to try and spot one of the species of wildlife that inhabits them.
As well as some lively bars, Corralejo does have a couple of discos to its name. There are also some good restaurants where you can enjoy a nice meal, particularly a meal with fish included, in a traditional setting which won't cost your pocket a fortune.
So, you don't need to venture outside of Corralejo if you don't want to, you will have everything you need including the fantastic Canarian Islands weather.
