Vassilokos is a lively resort, with plenty going on both day and night. However, it still retains plenty of its authentic charm and atmosphere. Surrounded by pine forests and olive groves, you can just smell the aroma already.
Set with beautiful views of the Mountain Skopos around it, there are two beaches at this resort and both have a variety of water sports available, as well as tavernas and bars alongside them. One of the beaches, Banana Beach has some protected areas for the caletta-caletta turtles to lay their eggs.
The resort doesn't have too many shops: just a handful of souvenir shops and a couple of mini supermarkets, so it is not as commercialised as some of the other resorts of Zante.
It is quite rural so you can take some nice walks around the coastal paths or go up into the hills.
