Sidari is a picturesque resort set amongst lush green hills on the northern coast of Corfu. It is very popular with British tourists who return year after year to such a welcoming and friendly resort.
A legend says that if you swim in the rock formations, called the Canal d'Armour, you will then find the true love of your life. The strange and colourful rock formations are rather impressive and attract many tourists to look at them each year.
The beach is sandy, it is very soft and fine and ideal for making all those sandcastles. There is some beach entertainment and a variety of organised water sports. Most activity by day is centred on the beach, whether you are looking to find a lazy day, to rest and unwind or something a little bit more energetic.
Along the main village streets you will see a good variety of shops selling a range of tourist items and souvenirs, plus supermarkets to provide you will everyday commodities that you might require during your stay. The main centre of the village has a good choice of restaurants serving Greek cuisine, plus a choice of tavernas and bars, which provide snacks and drinks. Some of the tavernas have evening entertainment by way of singing and/or dancing.
At night Sidari swarms into life as holidaymakers gather to enjoy its warm hospitality. For those people looking to party into the night, Sidari has some discos which offer dancing. The choice is good and pretty laid back but if you are looking for something even more lively then you could go to the neighbouring resorts.
So to sum up, if you are looking for a lively resort where there is always something going on, then Sidari is your ideal choice.
