Pineda is well suited to those people looking for a quiet retreat, completely away from it all where you can relax and unwind, letting the stresses of life slip away in idyllic surroundings.
It has a long and sandy beach with a promenade which goes on for what seems like a mile. There is an abundance of water sports available if you are just looking for a beach based holiday, and the beach is well serviced with some good restaurants and beach bars, so you don't need to go thirsty or hungry.
The town centre has the traditional square, around which you can sit and contemplate whatever you choose over a delicious cocktail or coffee. Nightlife is low key, nothing too exhausting to tire you and is mostly restaurant based.
For nature lovers you are within close reach of the Montnegre Nature Park where you can take long strolls, go hiking, ride a mountain bike or just take a picnic and chill out in the pleasant surroundings.
If you enjoy art, the Pineda Tharrats Foundation of Graphic Art displays a fine collection of multi talented artists, like Miro, Clavé or indeed, Tharrats himself.
There is something for history lovers too, the archaeological remains of the Iberian and Roman eras.
Pineda really will appeal to anyone, whatever taste you have or age, it has something for all, young or old.
