Pastida is a charming and traditional village approximately 30 minutes by transport from Rhodes Town.
It is a small, and still relatively untouched by tourism type of village, and a holiday here means all about peace and relaxation.
There is a village square where you will be welcomed to sit and enjoy a coffee with the locals whilst they go about their daily lives, or play backgammon on the street pavement cafes.
Being as this is such a traditional village, you will no doubt be enthralled by one of its traditional Greek evenings, where you will see Greek dancing and colourful outfits. You will be encouraged to tap your feet, clap your hands and even take part in some dancing yourself.
There are a handful of shops in the village selling souvenirs but you will find a good selection of tavernas to enjoy your lunch or evening meal if you so wish, prices here are generally cheaper than in some of the bigger resorts of Rhodes.
