L'Estartit will appeal to everyone, whatever age, or whatever you are interested in. It is abundant with Spanish charisma and charm, a beautiful beach set in delightful surroundings.
It is a small resort, with wide streets within which is a Spanish town centre right next door to the church. You can sit here to relax and enjoy the life under the blue skies above while you enjoy a drink or two.
You will find the beach has plenty of space, and the sea is wonderfully warm and crystal clear. With your snorkel you can enjoy a swim to spot the glorious colours beneath the sea. If you are feeling more adventurous, just a short way out to sea you can see the Las Islas Medas - a group of 7 archipelago islands, which are protected Nature Reserves.
If you tire of the beach and feel like trying something on land, there is a nearby Golf Course, horse riding or a funfair. There are also some tennis courts. A nice walk to take is across the river plain of the Rio Ter, where you can do some exploring, perhaps taking some fishing nets in case you spot something to catch.
There are a variety of nice restaurants lining the shore and a few take away outlets, pizzerias and an Indian Take Away.
For nightlife you have a choice of bars and a couple of discos if you feel like partying, although teenagers may find this resort a little on the quiet side!
Thursday is market day, stalls mostly selling fresh produce including fruit and vegetables. There are a few shops and a couple of supermarkets in which you can buy most commodities.
