The resort of Ipsos is somewhat changeable, from being traditionalist and authentic to modern and cosmopolitan.

It has a long and sandy beach, which at all points offers good facilities for bathing and soaking up the sun. There are a variety of water sports available if you wish to keep busy, rather than lazing on a sun bed. There are plenty of ice cream parlours and snack bars, along with some tavernas so you won't need to go far to find the ever important snacks or drinks. The beach is family friendly and has been awarded the European Blue Flag for its water cleanliness, which is crystal clear.

The panoramic views from the beach are absolutely stunning: here you can see mainland Greece, Albania and the mountain range of Pantokrator. If you enjoy photography, you will take delight in the landscape and scenery.

There is a tiny port area and it is from here that you could hire a small boat if you wish to do some coastline exploring.

Being that Ipsos is only a short distance from Corfu Town, it is a popular place to use as a base so that you can visit many of Corfu's sights, including the town itself.

The nightlife at Ipsos is second to none. If you are looking for a quiet and restful place, then you won't find it at Ipsos. It attracts young people to its clubs every night, which have a selection of good music and entertainment.

It is possible to avoid the crowds and noise, simply by heading off to one of Ipsos' good restaurants or welcoming tavernas. Here you will receive a friendly and traditional welcome along with good food, good wine and plenty of atmospheres. You might even be able to choose a menu with fish which has been caught the same day by local fishermen. What a delicious way to end the day.
