For a holiday destination which is buzzing and full of life, you won't go wrong to choose Calella de la Costa. It is suited to couples, teenagers and families with young children: the beach is long and sandy with plenty of beachside stalls to serve food and drink. There is a good variety of water sports and beach games, it is a wonderfully organised beach, keeping the children entertained and giving you some well earned peace. The local council organises a children's club during July and August.
It is a modern, up and coming resort on the Costa Maresme's coast. There is plenty to do and during the day you will find most of the entertainment is based around the beach.
The promenade provides plenty of eateries and bars, with many souvenir shops for you to buy your holiday gifts.
When you feel you need a change from the beach you could take a walk into the old streets and feel the charm of the place in a traditional way. Stop off to look at Placa de l'Esglesia, the atmosphere is serene and tranquil. Pure magic!
The town plays host to many festivals of music, medieval fiestas and art festivals which bring many tourists each year. It is also famous for its beer festival which is usually held in October, a renowned celebration where you will be invited to take part and join in with the locals.
There are plenty of discos and clubs to give you, or your teenagers, a party. The resort is busy both day and night, lots of activities and things to do - you certainly won't get bored.
