Cala Blanca has 2 beautifully soft, white sandy coves with the soft waves of the Mediterranean Sea gently lapping into the shore. There are no lively water sports here, just snorkelling and diving if you so wish, and of course swimming in the warm sea. The views are spectacular from here, where you can see in the distance the giant mountains of another Balearic Island, Majorca.
There is enough entertainment to keep you busy, by day as well as the beach and swimming, you can try your hand at mini golf. Although the nightlife is more sedate than that at the capital Mahon, you will still find enough bars and restaurants to spend some time in and totally chill out. There are quite a few bars along the beach where you can spend an evening of ambiance and star watching as darkness draws in. At nearby Santandria you can find a disco and a selection of other restaurants, pubs and bars, although again here it is rather sedate and quiet. The other resort which is close by is Sa Caleta, another small and quiet resort but where the locals head to, especially at weekends.
There are a few souvenir shops around the 3 resorts, but for more extensive shopping you need to travel to Ciutadella, a few kilometres away.
