Barbati is a popular resort as it not only has a delightful beach, but its views of the Mountain Pantokrator are idyllic. Situated on the north eastern coast of Corfu and a short distance from Corfu Town it is easy to see why it attracts tourists.
The beach of Armoura is long, clean and glimmers its glistening shingle against the turquoise sea. The beach has been awarded the European Blue Flag for its clean water and captivating facilities such as water sports (including a ski club), sun beds and parasols. For the less energetic you can also hire a pedaloe. There is also a small bay if you are looking for something a little more exclusive and isolated.
The quaint village centre is traditional and contains a nice selection of gift shops, souvenir shops as well as a couple of supermarkets. There are some tavernas where you can dine al fresco if you want, or enjoy a midday meal under the blue skies. Nightlife consists of a quiet atmosphere with an aperitif before your meal, there is nothing noisy or boisterous to spoil the ambiance.
If you are looking for a traditional and restful holiday resort, then Barbati is the place for you.
