Imagine yourself in a tranquil setting where the pace of life is lazy and slow, and then you will have a feel of what a holiday in Aghios Ioannis will be like.
The beach is definitely the main attraction, with its soft sand and pebbly mixture and its Blue Flag Award for cleanliness, you will be sure of a safe paddle or swim. There are some facilities on the beach, along with a few tavernas offering pretty much anything you fancy.
If you feel like getting away from the beach for some time, the resort has a good Aqualand water park with all the thrills and spills you would expect, plus normal facilities for eating and drinking.
The neighbouring resort of Moraitka, which is about 2 kilometres away, is a little busier, with a couple of supermarkets and tourist shops to attract your attention. For something a little further a field, you could take a trip to Corfu Town where you can spend a day shopping and sightseeing if you wish. You could go by public transport service which is easy and not expensive.
The resort has a handful of eateries where you will find something traditionally Greek on the menu, accompanied by some Greek wine all in a pleasant atmosphere.
We would recommend using Agios Ioannis as a base, somewhere you can retreat to after a day sightseeing or touring, or simply where you will find nothing to disturb your tranquillity.
